The 2022 Kingston and St. Andrew Municipal Corporation (KSAMC) Tree-lighting Ceremony will be held on December 20 at St. William Grant Park, downtown Kingston.

The function will begin at 6:30 p.m. with a civic ceremony and will feature a concert at 8:00 p.m.

Mayor of Kingston, Senator Councillor Delroy Williams, said that the tree-lighting ceremony holds special significance this year, as it is the first time that it will be open to the public since the onset of COVID-19 in 2020.

He was addressing the KSAMC’s monthly meeting on December 13 at the entity’s downtown Kingston headquarters.

Mayor Williams encouraged Corporate Area residents to come out and support the event as part of their Yuletide celebrations.

The Tree-lighting Ceremony is a major activity on the KSAMC’s annual calendar of events.
