Jamaica’s reputation as one of the world’s top holiday destinations will get a major boost this week with the world premier of a new documentary on the highly influential Travel Channel, a service of Discovery Networks, USA.
The documentary, ‘Jamaica: The Ultimate Tour’, is a unique collaboration between the Jamaica Tourist Board (JTB) and Journalist, Peter Greenberg of the Travel Channel.
The show is scheduled to have its world premier on the Travel Channel at 10:00 p.m. (EST) on Thursday, September 15.
‘Jamaica: The Ultimate Tour’ is a personal journey around the island as seen through the eyes of Prime Minister P.J. Patterson and provides an inspiring perspective on the cultural diversity and adventurous opportunities throughout the island.
Viewers will be introduced to the sights, sounds and tastes of different regions of the island, such as breakfast atop the Blue Mountain Peak, rafting on the Rio Grande, climbing the Dunns River Falls and cricket at Jarrett Park in Montego Bay.
The project is part of the JTB’s ‘Once You Go, You Know’ marketing initiative designed to draw attention to Jamaica as the destination of choice for holiday seekers who want more than just the sun, sand and sea.
