The Ministry of Tourism and Entertainment has issued a call for submission of new and existing entertainment events to be endorsed under the Reggae Month – it’s Kingston for February 2015 calendar.
‘Reggae Month- it’s Kingston for February’, is an initiative of the Ministry and is aimed at utilizing reggae music and the cultural significance of the month as an attraction to Kingston.
Applications are now open and will be closed on September 10, 2014. Events applicable to enter are those that fall between February 1 and 28, 2015; those being held in Kingston & St. Andrew and are reggae related, or of another musical art form typical of Jamaica.
To apply, organizers are being asked to complete and submit two original copies of the ‘Reggae Month – it’s Kingston for February’ endorsement form, which can be found on the Ministry of Tourism and Entertainment’s website: www.mot.gov.jm/entertainment
Applications must be typed and returned to the 1st Floor lobby at the Ministry, 64 Knutsford Boulevard, Kingston 5 or by email at: entertainment@mot.gov.jm
According to the Ministry of Tourism, events chosen will be endorsed by the Jamaica Tourist Board (JTB), included in the calendar for the month and will receive local and international promotion.
