The Full Story

A section of Washington Boulevard in Kingston, in the vicinity of Dairy Industries, will be temporarily closed tomorrow evening, Tuesday June 25, at 9:00 p.m.

The closure will affect westbound lanes (heading to Six Miles) and is to facilitate remedial pavement works at the location.

The roadway is scheduled to be reopened on Wednesday, June 26 at 5:00 a.m.

Manager of Communication and Customer Services at the NWA, Stephen Shaw, says that the targeted sections of the roadway had fallen into disrepair in recent months.

He said the work is meant to restore the driving surface of the roadway.

Mr. Shaw further stated that single lane traffic usage will be in effect during the period of works.

Motorists should exercise caution in the vicinity of the repairs and obey the instruction of work personnel or posted warning signs.
