Minister without Portfolio in the Office of the Prime Minister (OPM), Hon. Daryl Vaz, says support from senior managers of the Environment Division is crucial to ensure that the commitments made by Prime Minister, the Most Hon. Andrew Holness, are fulfilled.

“If we all work together assiduously, we can achieve those objectives. We are going to work as a team, we’re working in partnership and we’re going to work efficiently and effectively,” said Minister Vaz.

He was speaking at a senior management meeting, held at the Environment Division, at 16A Half Way Tree Road, on March 11.

During the meeting, the Minister informed that the country is poised for growth, and advantage must be taken of this. Emphasis was also placed on the importance of sustainable development.

Turning to investments, Minister Vaz informed that there are many investment projects in the Government that need urgent attention to be released. This, he said, will then ignite the growth that the country requires.

Following the meeting, the Minister met with other members of staff. A tour of departments within the Environment Division was also conducted.
