speeches

Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Mining, Hon. Floyd Green.

“And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.” Galatians 6:9 (KJV)

Madam Speaker, as I rise in this Honourable House today, I do so with utmost gratitude for where we now stand and for the journey, the sacrifices and the commitment that have brought us here. This is a season of harvest, born of years of deliberate effort, strategic decisions and collective perseverance, with God at the forefront.

We stand now at the dawn of a new era filled with opportunities and potential. We know the road ahead is not free of challenges, but we are confident, because we are resolved to meet these challenges with fresh vision, innovative strategies and renewed energy. I want to thank the Almighty for sustaining me and guiding me through every step of this journey.

Madam Speaker, I must express my deep appreciation to Dr. the Most Honourable Andrew Michael Holness, Prime Minister of Jamaica; the visionary whose leadership continues to embolden this Government to act with clarity, ambition and resolve.

To my Cabinet colleagues, fellow Parliamentarians and above all, the people of South West St. Elizabeth, I extend my heartfelt thanks. Your trust, your partnership and your belief are the fuel behind every policy advanced and every milestone reached. This new chapter is as much yours as it is ours.
