Mr. Speaker, I thank the great architect of the universe for divine guidance in serving our country.

Let me thank the Most Honourable Prime Minister Portia Simpson Miller for entrusting me with the responsibility of leading the Ministry that is closest to the people and critical in delivering opportunities for growth and development.

To my esteemed Minister of State, the Honourable Colin Fagan; your support and contribution to myself and the Ministry’s mandate is greatly appreciated.

Let me thank my Permanent Secretary, Mrs Dione Jennings whose steady leadership qualities have sustained the high level of motivation and output by the staff.

Special thanks to my special advisor, my executive assistant, the support staff in my office, both at the Ministry and the constituency, my security team and driver  for their significant daily support and commitment.
