the start of the year the Ministry of Local Government and Community Development has undertaken several projects to significantly improve service delivery to Jamaicans. These initiatives include the rehabilitation of a number and markets and fire stations across the island and improvement in the island’s solid waste management system.
The Office of the Prime Minister (OPM) is committed to providing the necessary leadership for the creation of a first class society, while coordinating and implementing policies to support national goals
The Ministry of National Security is relentlessly pursuing strategies aimed at reducing murders and other crimes. Measures to improve security include adding new members to the Jamaica Constabulary Force – JCF; merging the Island Special Constabulary Force with the JCF; acquiring new vehicles; and opening police posts in several communities.
The 18 percent growth recorded for the first quarter of the calendar year is the highlight of the Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries’ achievements over the last six months.
