The Ministry of Culture, Gender, Entertainment and Sport undertook several initiatives for 2016 aimed at preserving Jamaica’s culture and heritage while safeguarding the rights of men, women and children.

Work is expected to begin this month on the codes of practice and regulations for the Jamaica Council for Persons with Disabilities. Work should be completed within 10 months, following which the documents will go to the Chief Parliamentary Counsel for review.
