Japan Assists Schools Thru GGP
The Government of Japan continues to support the efforts of the Government of Jamaica to provide critical services for the growth and development of the country and its people.
NIS Benefit Funeral Grant
All persons age 18 to 70 who are gainfully occupied in insurable employment are required to be registered with the National Insurance Scheme, The insurable population includes employed persons and voluntary contributors. As part of its benefits the NIS offers the Funeral Grant.
Mandela Highway Update
The Mandela Highway is one of the country’s most heavily traversed roadways. The thoroughfare is being widened, in keeping with the government’s commitment to developing the island’s road network. Work on the Mandela Highway began in August of 2016 and is expected to be completed by August 2018.
