Feedback on Diaspora Conference
The 8th Biennial Jamaica Diaspora Conference has come and gone, providing yet another opportunity for Jamaicans all around the globe to engage their home country, and partner with stakeholders to achieve the country’s economic and social objectives. On the closing day of the conference several attendees shared their thoughts and opinions on the Conference and its achievements to date.
Rio Cobre Juvenile Correctional Centre
The Rio Cobre Juvenile Correctional Centre for boys, located in Spanish Town, St. Catherine provides security, rehabilitation and education to boys 12 to 18 years old. The programmes at this centre include academic training, behaviour medication, recreational activities and vocational training. There are currently thirty-three boys being housed at the residential facility.

We were able to track town the Head of the Diaspora Technology Task Force, Peter Harrison who’s based in California. He filled us in on some the Taskforce’s initiatives and major achievements.
IOJ Edward Seaga Tribute Exhibition Part 2
For the month of June, the Institute of Jamaica (IOJ) is celebrating the life and work of the former Prime Minister, Edward Seaga, who became a fellow of the Institute in 2006.
