The Rotary Club of Mandeville has donated two stethoscopes to the Mandeville Regional Hospital, valued at US$14,000.
Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the hospital, Alwyn Miller, who accepted the machines at the Club’s weekly meeting at the Golf View Hotel in Manchester on Wednesday (December 16), noted that its work in the parish has helped to bring comfort to many persons.
“I am heartened to know that part of your work is the continued support for the Mandeville Regional Hospital. The hospital is for the community, it is for all of us and we want to give everyone that comes there the best care,” Mr. Miller said.
In July, when the new President of the Mandeville Rotary Club, Dr. Olajide Adekeye, took over he pledged to continue to work for the health and well-being of the people of Mandeville.
Since then, they have donated medical equipment to the hospital, and distributed computers and books to schools, valued at over US$ 36,000.
