Reminder – NWC to Continue Sewer Pipeline Replacement

The National Water Commission (NWC) is advising that it will be continuing the replacement of its 400mm sewer pipeline in Montego Bay St James.
The works will be carried out over the following weekends:
- 8:00pm on Saturday, October 28, 2023 to 4:00am Monday, October 30, 2023
- 8:00pm on Saturday, November 4, 2023 to 4:00am Monday, November 6, 2023
- 8 :00pm on Saturday, November 11, 2023 to 4:00am Monday, November 13, 2023
During this period, pedestrians are asked to traverse the area with caution and motorists are asked to use alternate routes as the following roads will be closed to vehicular traffic:
- Strand Street
- Church Street (between Harbour Street and Strand Street)
- Church Lane
- Creek Street
As a result of this project there will be dust and noise nuisance.
