On Friday April 11 the Senate commenced debate on the Jamaica Teaching Council Act, 2025. Minister of Education, Skills, Youth and Information, Senator Dr. Dana Morris Dixon, who piloted the bill, described the journey from drafting to tabling, marked with rigorous dialogue, wide stakeholder participation and commitment from successive administrations.
