In just 4 hours, 94 mm of rain overwhelmed the coastal town leading to over a billion dollars in damage. When flood waters receded, the devastation was evident, cars crumpled after being flung into heaps by angry waters, supermarkets and stores awash with mud and roadways collapsed from the weight of the water.
