Teachers Benefit From Science And Technology Scholarship

The Government of Jamaica remains committed to strengthening teaching and learning in science, technology, engineering and mathematics-STEM. This commitment has seen five more Jamaican teachers benefitting from a one-week STEM training programme at the Loma Lindo University in California.

Infirmaries across the island are undergoing transformation. The facilities which serve the most vulnerable in the society, are receiving a much needed infrastructure upgrade, making them more comfortable for staff and residents. One key area, now being addressed, is the installation of Closed-Circuit Television (CCTV) camera systems in infirmaries. This to improve monitoring of the facilities for the purposes of security and service quality control.
