Dementia, including the most popular form, Alzheimer’s disease, can cause people to act in unpredictable ways. In some cases, persons with the condition may become anxious or aggressive. Others may tend to repeat certain questions or gestures or misinterpret what they hear. According to the 2019 World Alzheimer report, a number of persons with dementia have met unfair treatment at home, in their communities, and even in healthcare settings.
