Commissioner of Police, Major General Antony Anderson, says the States of Public Emergency (SOEs) continue to have positive results, in the areas where they have been implemented. In 2019 SOEs were declared in St. James, Hanover, Westmoreland, Clarendon, St. Catherine and the St. Andrew South Police Division. All areas under the security measure subsequently recorded declines in shootings and murders.
