Established in 1938, the Jamaica Association for the Deaf (JAD) has been equipping deaf and hearing impaired students with the education and other tools needed to lead healthy, fulfilling lives. These tools include screening and diagnostic hearing tests, interpretation, Jamaican Sign Language training, and social services. JAD Executive Director, Kimberly Sherlock Marriot-Blake recently visited JIS Radio Studio 58A where she discussed with host Vaughn Davis the facilities offered by the organisation.
