STEM and Gender Equality

Increasing the participation of women in the Science Technology Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) industry has been a topic of discussion for many years now, both locally and globally.  Recently, UN Women and the United Nations decided to help tackle this issue by observing International Women’s Day 2023 under the theme “DigitALL: Innovation and technology for gender equality.”  JIS Radio caught up with three STEM practitioners, Dominique Nelson, Abigail Morgan and Ryhane Roberts, who shared their views on global and local inclusion of women and girls in STEM, and also suggested ways the gender gap can be narrowed.
