Athletes who wish to compete in the female division for world ranking competitions must take a one-time gene test as of September 01, in compliance with World Athletics’ new regulations. Eligibility Rule 3.5 (Male and Female Categories) states that an Athlete must demonstrate their eligibility to compete in the female category by means of SRY testing of an Athlete’s buccal cells.
