The document management and digitization component under the Housing, Opportunity, Production and Employment (HOPE) programme is set be expanded in the new fiscal year. Prime Minister Andrew Holness says the Ministry of Science Energy and Technology and the Jamaica Archives and Records Department will lead the expansion efforts. Mr Holness notes that over 6,000 young Jamaicans received training under the digitization project, with over 4,000 gaining internships in the private and public sectors, and over 2,000 securing permanent employment in the Business Process Outsourcing, BPO sector.
