The House of Representatives has approved the Second Supplementary Estimates for the 2019/20 financial year. The figures show that the Budget has been increased by 7.966 billion dollars, moving from 851.1 billion to 859 billion dollars. Minister of Finance and the Public Service, Dr. Nigel Clarke says for the period April to November 2019, there were better than budgeted performances on both the Central Government’s primary and fiscal balance indicators. He says the additional expenditure is being facilitated by the higher revenue forecast and factored in the primary surplus target of 6 and a half percent of gross domestic product (GDP).
