World Blood Donor Day is observed globally each year on June 14, 2023. The day is aimed at raising awareness about the need for safe blood and blood products and to thank voluntary, unpaid blood donors for their life-saving gifts of blood. In observation of the day the Jamaica National Transfusion Service (NBTS) will be hosting a World Blood Donor Day Blood Drive this Wednesday, June 14 under the theme “Give Blood…Give Plasma…Share Life, Share Often”.
