Quwayne a young boy from Allman Town Tells Us About His Journey to Medical School

Feature | November 25, 2019

Quwayne Howell wants to become one of Jamaica’s leading facial plastic surgeons – helping people with defects or disfigurement to the face, resulting from birth or trauma, to live normal lives. His grades were more than good enough for him to get into the coveted Medical Science Faculty at The University of the West Indies (UWI), but after doing the financial assessment at UWI in August, he was told that despite having the required grades, he could not be accepted into the medical faculty due to his financial challenges. Listen to this feature to learn about how Quwayne is rising above his challenges.
