34 thousand nine hundred and twenty-seven students were registered this year to sit the Grade six Primary Exit Profile (PEP) examinations. 30 thousand 6 hundred and 27 students, or approximately 88 per cent, were registered in public schools and 4 thousand 3 hundred, or 12 per cent, in private schools. At a press conference held at the Ministry of Education and Youth’s Kingston headquarters on Friday, June 21, portfolio minister Fayval Williams presented an analysis of student performance.
