In January, the Ministry of Health and Wellness launched a 50 million US dollar Health Systems Strengthening Programme to support the prevention and management of non-communicable diseases (NCD’s). 13 health facilities across the island are to be upgraded and equipped under a major programme being undertaken by the Government.
