Duh Road Discusses the New Road Code Test required for a Provisional Drivers’ License
As of January 27, persons wishing to apply for a Provisional Drivers’ License or a ‘Learner’s License’ must first pass the new Road Code Test. The new road code test was introduced under the new Road Traffic Act, which was amended in 2018 to require the mandatory sitting and passing of the test before Provisional Drivers’ Licenses are issued.

Commissioner of Police, Major General Antony Anderson, says the States of Public Emergency (SOEs) continue to have positive results, in the areas where they have been implemented. In 2019 SOEs were declared in St. James, Hanover, Westmoreland, Clarendon, St. Catherine and the St. Andrew South Police Division.
