Government to establish bamboo orchard
The government is now in discussions with a private investor to establish a bamboo orchard and mill site in Frome Westmoreland. Minister of Industry Investment and Commerce Audley Shaw says this will present increased opportunity for farmers to supply bamboo to the manufacturer.
