Miss Tanya Dawkins has been teaching for roughly 21 years and is currently a teacher at Port Antonio High School in Portland. She says she has always loved mathematics but discovered her passion for the subject as a student at Titchfield High school where she found that she could easily identify real-life applications for the information she was learning.

The shelter is a far cry from the sleeping conditions she has grown accustomed to. Her bed, in recent years has been a chair at the waiting area of the Falmouth Public General Hospital. Ms. Patsy is homeless.
