On Friday, May 10, the Caribbean Maritime University (CMU) and the US-based humanitarian organization Global Support and Development (GSD) formally launched their marine cadetship program. Slated to begin this summer, the marine cadetship program is expected to offer aspiring mariners an opportunity for practical humanitarian engagement in the Caribbean while aboard the Motor Vessel (MV) DAWN, operated by GSD.
