As the country begins the long road to recovery after hurricane Melissa, the Government of Jamaica continues to lead a coordinated effort to bring relief and restore stability to the lives of those who were severely affected. Among these efforts is the restoration of power, communication and connectivity.

The local government infrastructure across western Jamaica has been severely damaged by the category 5 hurricane, Melissa. Despite the challenges, the recovery process is actively underway.

Brick by brick many Jamaicans are out picking up the pieces after the devastation caused by Hurricane Melissa. One of the encouraging signs in the rebuilding process is that we aren’t doing it alone.
