KPH Celebrates 250 anniversary

There’s an institution in the heart of Downtown Kingston that has been providing medical treatment to thousands of Jamaicans longer than your grandparents have been alive. It has a strong reputation for handling trauma and offering world class health service. That institution is the Kingston Public Hospital (KPH).

Established in 1776, KPH has operated for two and a half centuries, standing as one of the oldest continuously functioning hospitals in the Caribbean.

KPH performs more than 90,000 surgical procedures annually and treats hundreds of emergency cases daily. Despite resource constraints one thing that remains is the commitment to delivering equitable, high-quality care
