The Chevening Scholarships are the UK government’s global scholarship programme, offering fully funded opportunities for outstanding individuals to pursue postgraduate studies in the United Kingdom. It aims to empower future leaders, providing access to academic, professional, and cultural experiences that equip scholars to make a positive impact in their home countries. Recently, the British High Commission and the Jamaica National Foundation jointly announced a partnership agreement to establish the ‘Chevening/JN Oliver F. Clarke Scholarship, which was named in honour of the late former chairman of The Jamaica National Group Oliver F. Clarke who passed in 2020. Through the UK’s Chevening program, the ‘Chevening/JN Oliver F. Clarke Scholarship will be awarded annually for the next two years.
