As efforts continue to enable more children with disabilities to realize their full potential, and improve their abilities to contribute to national development, steps are being taken to introduce special textbooks in schools that will allow children with disabilities to learn alongside their able-bodied counterparts.
Education Specialist at UNICEF Jamaica, Dr. Rebecca Tortello, was a recently a guest on JIS Radio’s online discussion programme, Studio 58A and outlined for host Vaughn Davis how the textbooks will work. We bring you an excerpt of their conversation.
