With only 4 days to go before the end of the year, committing to driving sensibly and responsibly to preserve life and limb, is a good idea.
Traveling at moderate speeds, wearing safety gear, and looking out for other road users are among some road safety measures advocated by the Ministry of Transport, that will ensure are able to ring in 2024 with family and friends.
Sadly, for us though, as at December 22, the Road Safety Unit in the Ministry of Transport recorded 408 lives lost in road traffic accidents. Among them, 129 motorcyclists, 74 pedestrians, 46 private motor car passengers, and 20 public passenger vehicle passengers.
