Jamaica’s public health system faces the daily challenge of delivering care to patients and other stakeholders, even as resources are often stretched thin. With that in mind, the importance of the little things such as syringes and clean bed linen cannot be overstated. Recently the Chinese Benevolent Association (CBA) donated hundreds of sheets and pillow cases to the Kingston Public Hospital. Minister of Health and Wellness, Dr. Christopher Tufton received the more than 580 pieces from CBA President, Robert Hew during a short handover on the hospital grounds in Downtown Kingston recently.
