Career Talk – Workplace Sedentary Behavior

According to a recent study published in the American Journal of Preventive Medicine, about 25% of individuals work in professions that require them to sit for extended periods of time, which is commonly referred to as sedentary behavior. Physical inactivity, as highlighted by the World Health Organization (WHO), stands as the fourth foremost risk factor for global mortality.  A study conducted by Cardinus, a prominent UK risk management company, found that between 65% and 75% of UK office workers spend a significant portion of their typical working day in a sedentary position.
