The University of Technology (UTech) is seeking to take the lead on the government’s thrust to introduce and implement Science Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) reform at all educational levels, according to Utech president Dr. Kevin Brown. He highlighted that as an institution it is important to ensure that they are producing the local STEM workforce that will in the long run allow Jamaica to grow in terms of attracting technical services and industries to Jamaica
