The Ministry of Finance and the Public Service, in collaboration with the Students’ Loan Bureau (SLB), and The Mico University College will be delivering full Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) scholarships valued at 2.5 billion dollars to 1,250 new student-teachers at the institution over a 5-year period. Speaking at the STEM Scholarship Program launch on June 29 in New Kingston, Minister of Finance and the Public Service, Dr. Nigel Clarke, said the five-year program was set up to ensure that Jamaica’s STEM capabilities are maximized.
