At their 22nd National GIS Day Expo, the Ministry of Economic Growth and Job Creation recently introduced secondary students from all across the island to a range of career options in geography, specifically Geographic Information Systems (GIS), at the tertiary level. In the discipline of Geographic Information Systems (GIS), data is created, analyzed, and managed to produce maps and guide decision-making. However, according to Geospatial and Strategy consultant Valerie Grant, GIS is simply the modelling of the real world in a computer environment.
