The World Bank is stressing the importance of skills development in achieving its three main goals of eliminating poverty, reducing inequality and fighting climate change. Human Development Programme Leader for Latin America and the Caribbean at the World Bank, Dr Emre Özaltin, highlighted that in addition to global megatrends, the changes observed in education and the labor markets are mostly driven by skills development.
