Imagine being a parent, fast asleep at home, only to be awakened suddenly by the sound of your child coughing. After doing your checks, you realize that you have to take the child to the hospital, and not just any hospital – the Bustamante Hospital for Children.
After getting there you learn that your child has to be admitted. The idea of your child being far away from you while unwell, is devastating so you decide to stay put. Naturally your next thought is where, and whether there is a nice place nearby where you could stay. A place to get some rest, freshen up and be on hand to provide comfort to your child while he or she receives treatment.
This scenario has faced many parents of children at the Bustamante hospital over the years, and thankfully a special solution is now in place.
The Hospital recently opened a new 36 bed overnight suite, which provides accommodations for parents and guardians, while they support children receiving treatment.
