Bog Walk Orange Festival

Bog Walk has claimed the title Orange Country and to stake its claim on the citrus growing market, the town will welcome people from near and far for its inaugural Bog Walk Orangefest. The Festival, which will be held on May 31, is being hosted by the Bog Walk Development Area Committee, in partnership with the Social Development Commission (SDC). Patrons at the event will learn of the cultural heritage and prominence of the orange fruit and over 200 persons from surrounding communities are down to participate in the day’s activities.

With schools out until September, teachers and administrators have had to get creative in order to ensure students can continue receiving their lessons. The principal of the Little Bay All Age and Infant School, Keron King, has chosen to personally deliver worksheets and lessons to students, sometimes using a motorbike he rides himself.
