The World Health Organization (WHO) defines Autism, also referred to as autism spectrum disorder (ASD), as a diverse group of conditions impacting the development of the brain, characterized by some degree of difficulty with social interaction and communication. As part of efforts to spread awareness about the condition, the Maia Chung Autism and Disabilities Foundation in collaboration with the Mico University College Department of Special Education, recently hosted the inaugural I am More Than a Diagnosis Press conference. The event sought to create a platform for medical professionals to discuss the developmental disability.
