The spread of the coronavirus outside of China has led the World Health Organization to declare the situation a global health emergency. On two separate occasions, fears started brewing in Jamaica following reports of suspected cases. Although the patients in question did not meet the case definition for the coronavirus, it begs the question “What if they did?” and “Is the country adequately prepared to manage an outbreak?” Listen to this feature to hear what the authorities have to say.
