Anansi story at Christmas Pt 2

Today, Jamaicans observe Boxing Day, a public holiday that had its genesis in Britain. The holiday is based around a custom that saw employers showing appreciation to their employees by gifting them with presents wrapped in boxes.

Although the meaning of Boxing Day has evolved, it has found its way into the Jamaican folklore of Anansi stories.

Listen keenly as Veteran Storyteller, Orator and lecturer at the Edna Manley College of the Visual and Performing Arts, Dr Amina Blackwood Meeks shares one with a useful lesson about giving and receiving.
