On Friday, June 23, the Ministry of Education and Youth hosted a press conference where portfolio minister, Fayval Williams shared statistics relating to the 2023 sitting of the Primary Exit Profile Examination (PEP). For those who don’t know, the Primary Exit Profile (PEP) is a series of assessments that provide a profile of a primary student’s academic standing, strengths and weaknesses, and their readiness for grade 7. It is the main factor which determines which secondary schools students attend.
