RADA to Stage St. Elizabeth Agri Fest May 31

The Rural Agricultural Development Authority (RADA) will host the St. Elizabeth Agri Fest at the Social Development Commission (SDC) Sports Complex in Santa Cruz, St Elizabeth, on May 31, beginning at 1:00 p.m.

Speaking with JIS News, Director of Public Relations and Communication at RADA, Camille Beckford, said the show has grown over the years to become a highly anticipated parish event.

She said that this year’s event will feature diverse exhibits from various stakeholders and “provide a direct opportunity to gain a glimpse into farmers’ interactivity with RADA and agricultural stakeholders”.

“RADA St. Elizabeth Agri Fest will seek to highlight the services of RADA, to include livestock, crop care and nutrition, home economics and social services, marketing and post harvesting, as well as land husbandry management, among others,” she noted.

She said Agri Fest, which is held in parishes across the island, “has become an integral means of updating farmers and agricultural interests on the latest happenings and the promotion of agricultural developments”.

Residents of St. Elizabeth and visitors to the parish are all invited to attend.
