Post Election Seminar for Parliamentarians

A post election seminar for Parliamentarians, which is being organized by the Houses of Parliament, will be held from November 2-4 at Sandals Dunn’s River in St. Ann. The objectives of the seminar are: to improve awareness of parliamentary practice and procedure among Parliamentarians; and to provide general information on issues related to the tenure of Parliamentarians. Resource persons for the seminar will include current and former Presiding Officers, Parliamentarians, Clerk of the Houses of Parliament and other senior parliamentary staff. Panel discussions will be held on the topics: ‘The role of the Member of Parliament’ and ‘Improving the image of the Parliament’.
Panelist will include Parliamentarians, representatives of the Jamaica Council of Churches, the media and the St. Ann Chamber of Commerce.
